Even after relocating to Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture in 2020, its fundamental philosophy of collecting, preserving, researching, and studying a wide range of artworks from various regions and genres, both domestically and internationally, remains unchanged. Through exhibitions and learning programs, they continue to introduce new and fascinating aspects of the worlds of "crafts" and "design" from a broad perspective, unconstrained by formality. Additional Information Admission 1,200 yen. This museum does not have a "permanent collection," but instead features an ever-changing experience of various crafts from Japan and around the world. Depending on the season, the National Crafts Museum holds either exhibitions of its collection or special exhibitions, and the works on display change with each exhibition. Group pricing and student pricing differs. Same-day tickets are sold at the reception desk. There is no limit on the length of time you can stay, but if the venue is crowded, entry may be restricted and you may have to wait before entering. Photography is allowed in some areas, depending on the exhibition. Pay close attention to signage and the staff to know when photography is and is not allowed. No reservation is required for a specific date and time. Free admission for junior high school students and younger, MOMAT Support Circle Partner Company members (up to one accompanying person, Silver Partners only), and those with a disability certificate and one accompanying person. Please present proof of age such as student ID, health insurance card, driver's license, membership card, employee ID, disability certificate, etc. when entering the museum. When purchasing tickets at the counter, you can use cash or various cashless payment services.
