Our journey began as apprentices learning from masters who had dedicated their lives to the art of cultivating and crafting Japanese green tea. Through this experience, we built deep connections with artisans across every stage of tea production — from cultivation to refinement. In 2017, d:matcha began cultivating its own tea fields in Wazuka, Kyoto. By January 2020, our farms had expanded to roughly 3 hectares of lush tea fields. Nowadays, we have around 4 hectares of tea fields! We typically host interns as volunteers for 4-week sessions (Mar - Nov). What we’re looking for: You would make a great fit for d:matcha if you are... Passionate about tea / tea entrepreneurship. You’ll learn all aspects of our family business. A team player - open to helping on all fronts & willing to roll up your sleeves. A self starter - proactive and comfortable working independently! Equipped with skills that would strengthen our organization. Have working experiences. We will prioritize those who have, or aspire to have, a Food and Beverage business; those who are seeking the opportunity to work full-time at d:matcha; and those who are key opinion leaders in their communities.
