Mt. Fuji Wood Culture Society

We do not just teach woodworking skills, but also pass on the culture of sustainable woodworking through a series of tasks that involve using trees passed down from previous generations and planting trees for the next generation.

More Details

We teach a sustainable tree culture through a series of work to plant trees for the next generation. Creating tools for daily life that people can be attached to. We are not making ready-made products, but rather, we are making products that people really want to use and that they can experience the joy of creating with time and effort. We convey the joy of making things that you really want to use, not just something that is ready-made, and that will enrich your heart and soul. We offer 1-day to 4-week long courses in woodworking as well as an artist in residence option that is paid monthly. Our place is purely to share and enjoy our wood culture. Location: 2812-1 Oishi, Fujikawaguchiko, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi 401-0305
