Full Day: Papermaking and Catching Fish with Hot Springs (Hinode Washi)

This is a combination of Hinode "paper making workshop," the Sakanaen "catching, grilling, and eating fish," and Tsuru Tsuru "hot springs". You can enjoy a whole day!

Choose between making postcards or uchiwa (Japanese fan). After the workshop, you can relax in the hot spring `TsuruTsuru Onsen'.

More Details

About 1 hour from central Tokyo to the west side. There is rich nature beyond the city here. In summer fireflies flutter in the river in front of the workshop, autumn leaves are also beautiful in autumn. We grow also the mulberry tree which is the raw material of Japanese paper inside a large site. Peel off the wood, tap it and make it fine fiber, then do paper making. We also use well water for paper making. It is fun to draw with hand pumps. After the workshop is over, you can relax in the hot spring `TsuruTsuru Onsen'. It is approximately 20 minutes by car from here. You can also go by bus from Musashi Itsukaichi station. It takes about 20 minutes. Tattoo is OK. Our English is at beginner level. We would be happy if you could bring a translation app when you come for the experience! Plants and other items can be included in your papermaking, but fresh plants will eventually die. If you bring dried flowers, you can put them in.

Seller's Cancellation/Refund Policy

Please contact us at least two days in advance. Cancellations on the day before will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations on the day will incur a full cancellation fee. However, for children under elementary school age, you can postpone the lesson once if you contact us at least one day in advance. Please do so within two months.
