At Hirata Swordsmith, we create Japanese swords, kitchen knives, and other knives. We offer a variety of tours and hands-on experiences where you can learn about Japanese traditions, culture, and craftsmanship. In addition, Hirata Swordsmith uses homemade steel, so other swordsmiths may not use it. We also offer tours and experiences of the unique Tatara ironmaking process. This is an experience session to make a 6-inch all-purpose knife. It takes a whole day to make one knife. Please bring the spirit of craftsmanship to your heart.

Our prices are paid in advance. ※Please understand that we need to pay for charcoal and take time to prepare. Advance preparations and precautions Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty (long sleeves and long pants). The experience will run from morning to evening. Please bring your own lunch. We will take the utmost care, but please be aware that injuries and burns may occur. Please understand that you are responsible for any actions you take. Payment method: Bank transfer only The blades produced will have the swordsmith's name engraved on them. This is important proof that our swordsmith was involved in the project. We will definitely include it. Thank you for your understanding.
