Our first owner, Yoshizo Murata, was the sixth generation head of the Oshimaya family. The business was opened to the public in 1913 (Taisho 2). Namidabashi Oshimaya has been passed down through generations, from the first generation Yoshizo, to the second generation Kinichi, the third generation Shuichi, and the fourth generation Kenichiro. [You can choose the characters you want to draw] The craftsman will sketch out the name (1-2 characters recommended: Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana) onto the lantern. Draw black outlines with a brush, tracing the outline. Paint the inside with your favorite color (about 10 colors to choose from) and it's complete. ・Experience time: Approximately 30 to 60 minutes (Individual differences may occur) ・Option: LED candle +300 yen You can choose from two different lantern shapes (oval and rectangular). Egg-shaped Φ12×25cm (box: 15×12×6cm) Long: Φ7.5×25cm (Box: 17×9×8cm) It can be folded and put into a box, so it is compact to take home.
