More Details

Established in 1690, Tsujikura is proud to maintain the tradition and culture kept for more than 300 years. We hope you feel our passion for craftsmanship and tradition. We use all Japanese-made materials, the same as those used by Japanese umbrella craftsmen. The completed Hime Wagasa umbrella comes with a bamboo umbrella stand, a presentation box, and a carrying bag. You can take it home on the day. The experience of making a Japanese umbrella is rare even across the country, and is an experience that can only be found in Kyoto. Hime Wagasa umbrellas are cute umbrellas that are smaller versions of Japanese umbrellas. Japanese umbrellas are considered lucky charms that ward off evil spirits and foster good fortune. Why not try making such a lucky charm with your own hands? Standard plan: 11,000 yen, Hime Wagasa, 27cm, diameter approx. 35cm The duration is 90 minutes. Premium plan: 33,000 yen, Hime Wagasa, 33cm, diameter approx. 42cm The red-dyed bamboo frame is available only in the premium plan. You can use luxurious materials such as gold-inlaid washi paper or washi paper with real leaves. The material combinations are endless. In order to ensure a full-scale crafting experience, we have set aside a leisurely 120 minutes.
